Fruit task
I felt that peeling the orange during my performance was hard work as I think I was concentrating to much on trying to incperate the orange in to my performance then making it naturalistic which made my performance unrealistic. Also because I was concentrating on the orange I forgot half of my lines.

Stage design
I have chosen to paint the walls of my set yellow with a rough texture to show the personality of the mother, and the fact that she almost has two personalities, the yellow symbolising her happiness and relaxing side, and the rough texture showing the fact that she has a hateful spikefull side especially towards the Felix family. I chose too have the two pictures of the son and father to show the audience that the mother is constantly haunted and reminded of the deaths of them, contrasting between the usual Spanish lifestyle, where something happens but then it's forgot about and always goes back to the relaxing lifestyle. I also chose to put two ornaments in the scene to also represent the lives of the father and son. My stage is very simplistic relating to the practitioner Brecht, who
Believed the stage should be simplistic so the audience can focus of the meaning. I also wanted it to be simplistic so that it relates to the Spanish lifestyle around that time, a simple relaxing life.

What we learnt in the lesson
With the help of the instruments, helps you focus on language, and notice things you wouldn't normally pay attention to, for example knives, through the use of the rhythm we realise it needs to be said differently to how you usually say knives.
Rhythm varys through the text
Text uses a lot of imagery and symbolism through the text to show the intensity
That it can be very stressed and rythmic, because we used the colour red it showed anger, and this made us exaggerate the language and because the beat sped up it intensified it.

Rhythm of the text
There is a regular rhythm throughout the text consisting of a repeated 3 beats, like a lullaby. The fact that its like a lullaby foreshadows the fact that there is one later on in the play. Also in the text when the mother gets angry the beat remains constant, relating to Spanish life, that whenever something bad happens (in the texts case the mother getting angry) life always goes back to normal and the use of the constant Rhythm in the text shows this. The beat of the text is also relaxing relating to the Spanish life again and how it is a relaxing soothing life. The text forces us to think about things in many ways.

Using physicality to communicate ideas
I used physicality to communicate ideas, first all we did this when we were told to represent a color we showed this through our body language, for example yellow was a bright colour so we made our body's to be wide and spread to represent bright. Also when we were made to show starvation as a group I made myself crippled, or in an uncomfortable position and held my stomach to show how my stomach was feeling as it was uncomfortable and to show how the person starving felt by holding my stomach. When we were told to represent blood we made are body seem loose and weak to look like liquid an used levels to show blood as it throughs through different levels.
What we did in lesson
In the lesson last week we did little clips of the non naturalistic representation of love we then choose 3 clips that were shown and went into groups of 3 to make it into a non naturalistic sequence, we then added sound to our sequence.
